Once in a Blue moon...

Hey there,
I don't really think anyone reads this blog, in fact I don't believe they ever did and even though this is a waste of a web page, it fills me with joy to share something with the world wide web!
kk... I have several things I could mention and talk about so where to start. Well as an aspiring doctor and with an ambition to study medicine at university, I have started a new blog, on which I will be posting an article about a disease, illness, symptom, cure, instrument of operation or anything else medical related :D If that interests you, you should definitely check it out:

Yesterday, i spent the whole morning baking cupcakes, a skill I still haven't grasped let alone mastered, my friend is a budding baker and I can only hope that in the next few years her ability rubs off onto me. Nevertheless, I managed to whip up an average bunch of chocolate cupcakes with mini marshmallows carefully positioned on top stuck on with wisps of meringue. They are meant to be grilled before serving but I just sprinkled cocoa to give the same affect :P

I did attempt another batch of cupcakes with strawberry jam and meringue swirls on top but they didnt quite rise enough and the meringue went a bit soft so they're not worthy of the blog. Neither were they worthy of a visit to my neighborscupcakes were a great excuse for visiting my neighbor who is not very well at the moment and thus i set out of my house armed with  a bowl full of chocolate merriment (armed sounds as though I'm going to be attacked in the story.. don't worry nothing happens).

As I left the house I felt great pride in my idea to take cupcakes and visit them, all i needed was a long red coat and a basket and I would be Little Red Riding Hood, rushing off to visit her Grandma. Unfortunately, I do not have a red coat and my mother detests the idea of having yet another item ( like a basket) cluttering the house which she claims barely has room for anything!

As I approached the house I became puzzled by which gate I was to enter from, but since the larger gate came in sight first, that's the one I  used. BIG MISTAKE. I then had to endure what seemed like a long and precarious walk across the stone-filled drive way as I tried to be as quiet as possible so as not to disturb anyone. Do not tiptoe on stone covered floors, its definitely not the best approach to making a silent entry, thus I turned to running across the driveway onto the opposite side where there was a proper pathway! A pathway I would have conveniently met had I waited to reach the second gate of entry.

Having reached the front door, I stumbled on the door step looking for a bell, finally I realised they did not have a door bell just like our house and hesitating towards the bangy door knob, I gave two firm knocks. While I waited for someone to answer the door, my mind was having a serious moment of doubt, you know how when you knock and it takes a while for an answer: on the one hand you want someone to come to the door and on the other hand you wish there was no one home because if your like me, a teenager doesn't really have much to say to an adult unless they're arguing. :/

Finally, someone opened the door and I shared my cakes but I didn't stay long because she was resting so with a quick chat I was off, back home. The wonderful thing about sharing food with people in non-disposable dishes is that they usually return the dish or box with more food in return, in fact just a few minutes ago, her daughter came by our house with Lindt chocolates in the same dish and kind compliments about my cupcakes :D It's pleasing to know that situations we see on TV where neighbors give food and beverages to other neighbors, actually can happen.

I suppose, anything we see on TV can happen so long as we are prepared to make it happen, even if it is once in a blue moon.

Thanks for reading xxx
